Home' Special Publications : House of the Year 2012 Contents ABOUT THESE AWARDS
The PlaceMakers Registered Master Builders
House of the Year Awards are structured on
two levels - regional and national. Each entry
is examined by a panel of judges who use a
points-based system to determine regional Gold,
Silver and Bronze Award winners.
These award winners are announced at a series
of local association events across New Zealand
throughout June, July and August.
From these regional award winners, 100 national
finalists are selected and then referred to as
National Gold Reserve Award recipients.
The competition culminates in Auckland in
November, when national category and Supreme
Award winners are announced at a gala dinner.
This year there are two major awards available
at regional and national level.
They are: the PlaceMakers Supreme Award
for the Nelson Marlborough Registered Master
Builders 2012 Renovation of the Year, and the
PlaceMakers Supreme Award for the Nelson
Marlborough Registered Master Builders 2012
House of the Year.
